School Council Visit to Westminster
reported by Becky Harman and Nicole Mowthorpe

First of all we went to the Natural History Museum and looked around the earth gallery. It was very interesting to see what happens when a volcano explodes and where in the world volcanoes erupt. There was also a room that is styled as a shop in Japan, but is an earthquake simulator. The lights flicker, the ground shakes and things slide around! We had some spare time before lunch so we looked around other galleries, including the dinosaur one which had a massive, life size T Rex which moved!
After lunch we walked round to the science museum and looked in the energy gallery. There were lots of hands-on activities to look at; we also looked in the atmosphere gallery. We learnt lots about the air around us and what we are doing to it. It was then time to get back on the coach and come home.
It was an awesome day out and we all enjoyed it. We wish that everyone else could have had this opportunity as it was an experience of a lifetime.
Thank you to the staff for making the day possible.
